Art of Portfolio Curation Group Study
Deciding what artwork to show isn’t always easy, but having a system enables you to make more confident decisions.
In the Art of Portfolio Curation the Textile Design Lab team shares the exercises and techniques that they use to curate their artwork and see the “holes” in their portfolios.
The course is already posted to the Lab, but signing up for the group-study gives you access to bonus emails. It’s a fun way to stay motivated and work with a supportive group of TDL members!
This event is FREE for all Textile Design Lab members and kicks off on Monday, February 24th. Members can register here.
Upcoming Event: February Illustrator Live with Laura Coyle
“Happy February everybody!
Thanks to all who participated in the January session, where we talked about working with Gradients and adding metallic and reflective looks to your designs in Illustrator.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 25th at 11 am ET.
For this session I want to cover:
- Scripts + a color randomizing script (great for jumping into a design with instant color)
- Actions, assigning above the script to an action, and a demo on how to create/use an action
- Preparing a repeat pattern unit for exporting to avoid the dreaded tiling lines (an issue that came up in another forum and involves checking dimensions and using the pixel grid controls)
- When to use the Pathfinder and instances when you would use it instead of the Shape Builder
- Appearance Panel
